STUCK

We have been stuck inside for the past 3 days. ICE! We have colored, painted, cut, taped, played Barbie, princesses, made cookies, blew bubbles in the garage, made animal cut outs with play dough, read all of Genesis in my picture Bible (it's poor quality Bible cartoons from when I was small and Molly found it today), built with legos, watched Cinderella, Pinocchio, and Sleeping Beauty, cleaned, played on the ipad and I even finished refinishing a dresser. Tomorrow we are STUCK inside again. Thinking of what to do next....

My Girls

On Saturday afternoon I let my three girls out in the backyard. Ten minutes later I didn't hear any barking so I checked and ALL 3 of them were gone. Both gates appeared to be closed and so I thought they were stolen. Zoey is an incredible looking Great Dane and I've always worried that someone would try to take her. Molly was asleep so I left Katy with her and jumped in my car. My head started hurting at the thought of all of them being gone at once. After driving around for ten minutes I saw a couple walking Sunshine (our Frenchie). OK so they weren't stolen. R-E-L-I-E-F! I dropped her at the house and went out for the big girls. They are inseparable so I knew if I found them they would be together. Five minutes later a man was walking Zoey (white Dane) and Honey was following behind. These girls don't fit in the MINI so I parked and walked home. I gave them a big lecture all the way there but their tongues were hanging out and they were smiling. So glad nothing bad happened.

I couldn't find a picture of the 3 of them together so I took pics of their pics.

My Boy Eli

We met Michelle, Eli, and Ida at the park on Saturday. It was gorgeous outside so we hit two parks and then McDonalds. Three hours of play made for a long nap. NICE! When I showed Molly these pictures she said, oh mom there is my boy Eli. I think Eli is claimed by about 5 other girls. Eli, Timmy should be here soon and you won't be so out numbered. Love you!

Finger Prints

This is us waiting at the ASC for our finger print appointment. We had the early appointment and got there 15 minutes early but there was already a line. I wanted to take my camera in but it wasn't allowed. Molly certainly wasn't thrilled so we took her for donuts afterwards.

Dear Timmy,
I'm dying to hold you!
Love,
Mommy

Prince Charming

Our Sunshine ate the prince's horse. Now when we play princesses he rides away on a giraffe!

CONSTRUCTION!!!

Here are some pictures of our back yard where my mom's addition is going. We gave the land and she is building the add on. Do you like what they put in the front yard? A nice port-o-potty! Big and ORANGE! I am sure my neighbors are loving it.

Braum's

Molly started at Little Treasures today. I bribed her not to cry when I left. Probably not one of my finest parenting skills but it worked. 78 cents for a chocolate ice cream isn't bad for a peaceful morning :) but did we really have to eat it inside??? Actually, she likes her new school and seems to be adjusting well. I just want her to have fun and not get a two page report card that says her Spanish needs improvement. She is only 3!

Baby Nicholas

Here are some pictures of my cousin's new baby. I can hardly believe that little John Paul (27 now) has a baby. It's no surprise that he is a sweet Dad to little Nicolas. Whoops, I meant to say BIG Nicholas. This precious lump of love is 12 weeks old and 17 pounds. Molly loved meeting him this weekend and can't stop talking about him. I can't say it enough, I'm so thankful for my Dad's family. It's really special to see cousins, aunts and uncles all the time.

The sores on Molly's face are from her paci! Hopefully the pain will help her give it up :)

Lost

The USCIS (immigration) sent a letter yesterday stating that we needed to turn in our home study with our application. WE ALREADY DID THIS!!!!! I assume it is lost. We went to FedEx and over nighted another copy to them. Dear USCIS, Please don't lose this one! We want to bring our son home soon!!!!

Here is a picture of Molly being cradled and rocked in a blanket. Cradling is something they do during the Barnabas workshop. It's a big process I won't try to explain. Most people already think Barnabas is strange :) so my explanation wouldn't help it. Molly likes to be cradled to Amazing by Janelle. So sweet

Waiting

Adoption is a lot of work. We feel it's appropriate and worth it for obvious reasons. It's a child! I wish I'd kept a record of all of it but who has time? Just when we think there is nothing else to fill out or get notirized, we get something new. Here is a list of what I can remember. Autobiography for each parent, ten of each of the following, birth records, bank statements, W2s, tax returns for 2008 and 2009, statements of faith, personal references, home study, proof of employment, proof of medical and life insurance, past ten years of personal addresses, past paycheck stubs, and this is all before the USCIS gets involved. Don't take this as a complaint. If or when we do this again I'm going to make a big file box with twenty copies of everything. I've included a form I recieved yesterday to do today. PS-Find a 24 hour notary!

Twos With Toni

Snow White Transformation

Halloween 2010-Molly changed her mind about her costume about four times. 1. Fairy Godmother 2. Mickey Mouse 3. Cinderella 4. Snow White. Three days before Halloween the decision was final. Thank goodness we already had the dress. No I did not dye her hair. It's black spray and yes I was praying it would come out afterwards!

Friendship

Here is a picture of Molly and her friend Allie. They went to the same school but were not in the same class. Allie is almost 5 and Molly thinks the world of her. I asked Allie how she and Molly became friends. Allie's response....well, Molly was following me around on the play ground. I said to her, why are you following me around? Then Molly said something I didn't understand and that is how we became friends.

Every picture of Molly and Allie looks like this one. M can't take her eyes off of Allie. Too cute!

3

On December 20th Molly Kate turned three years old! It's so hard to believe she is 3. We had a very small celebration with a HUGE cake. Molly got a lot of princess presents. She was thrilled when we sang Happy Birthday so we did it about four times. It goes without saying that Molly Meeker is a huge blessing to many people. God brought her to the family at just the right time. The cake was made by Melinda (one of Bob's employees who is studying to be a pastry chef). Every time Molly would come into Red Robin Melinda would ask her what she wanted her cake to look like. Melinda is planning to open a bakery when she graduates. We will keep you posted. Thank you Melinda!!!!!
