Timmy Meeker!

Some More Waiting

Little Ji- I am tired of waiting but certainly not as tired as you are.  I lose sleep over hoping you are doing OK but my bed is soft and comfy, nothing like yours.   Often I feel trapped in the paper work processing world of adoption.  Although I'm not trapped in a metal crib. The wait is long but I have made the choice to wait.  In your 2 years of life you have probably never been given one choice.  You know nothing but how to wait....

When you come home I promise you will not have to wait for one thing.  So many people are ready to love on you.  Your toes probably won't touch the ground for years :)  I'm missing you so much today baby girl and I'll wait as long as it takes to bring you home.

Cherry

Here is sweet Cherry!  I LOVE THIS CHILD!  She is not yet matched with a family but we are praying hard for her.  Recently she was added to Reece's Rainbow for grant money.  So the family that adopts her will receive the funds.  You can check out her link here. Fossil Rim

We went to Fossil Rim the day after Gotcha Day. I didn't get too many pictures because Timmy was sitting in my lap while I was driving. The highlight of the day was feeding the giraffe! Here she is leaning in for a bite!

Favorite Photo Friday-Aunt Susie's Easter Treat

My AWESOME Aunt Susie invited the kids over for egg dying and to make bunny cakes. Cousins Shannon and Maureen were there to help. Tie dye eggs, stickers, glitter, sprinkles, licorice, jelly beans, and more....little kid heaven! Who am I kidding? My heaven :) There is nothing that makes my heart happier than other people loving my kids, seriously! Thank you Shannon, Maureen, Brian, and Susie for the Easter treat! SO MUCH FUN!

Gotcha Day Celebration

Timmy's Gotcha Day celebration started at Benihana's at the Koi Pond.

Next came the cute hats and lots of laughing.

As you can see, big sister was having fun as well. She was excited and I think she "gets" what a Gotcha Day is. She certainly loves her little brother.

Next came the cook and he was funny and very entertaining.

DOSSIER TO CHINA!!!!!!

Here is an email I received today from our agency Faith International.

Your last dossier documents miraculously made their way to our office earlier than next week! We are prepping your dossier to be sent out :) We will also mail a complete copy to your house. What a great start to the weekend!

Hang on baby girl! We are coming!!!!!

Favorite Photos Friday-One Year Home!

Timmy has been home for a year! How time flies. It hasn't been an easy year and often I wonder.... Does Timmy feel loved? Is he secure in our home? Have we made the right decision by adopting? Are we good enough parents for this child who needs so much? After looking back on the photos of this year God has taken away some of my fears. From total insecurity and uncertainty to pure joy! Just look Timmy's changing facial expressions and smile. Oh yeah, and his lips aren't blue! Everyone always tells me how much healthier he looks but because I'm around him every day it's not as obvious to me. WOW!!!! The first picture is of us at DFW airport in April 2011. Scroll down to see how our little miracle has grown. We love you Timothy Doyoung Meeker and we are blessed to have you in our family. Happy 1 Year HOME!
