Chosing Joy

Christmas.............it can be a time for me to reflect on how my life has not turned out "normal" or how I can accept it for what it is. I have not put up a Christmas tree or any decorations in 3 years. You see my Dad's favorite time to spend with us was in front of a lighted Christmas tree, listening to Johnny Mathis sing Christmas carols. Since his death the thought of doing that was too scary. Yesterday I was thinking about Molly and how this could be one of her best memories too. How could I cheat her because of my fear? So today I busted out the itunes and down loaded Johnny Mathis' Merry Christmas. Where to find a tree with only a few hours left? Humm.....BIG LOTS! So we bought the last tree in Farmers Branch and it's hot pink with pink lights. It's so festive and fun, just how it should be for a two year old. Listening to Johnny sing I'll Be Home for Christmas is difficult but I know my Dad would want me to remember him this way. A big reminder of how God does not intend for me to live in the shadow of darkness. So today I chose JOY.

Dad I miss you so much. 3 1/2 years is such a long time to go without seeing you.

Cute and Fun

The people I live with are cute and fun! What more could anyone want? Also, I want to let everyone know that we went from 4 dogs to 6 and then back to 4, all in a matter of 2 weeks. Zoey, Honey, Rocky, Baby + Lola and Sunshine=6 Baby died 2 weeks ago so that put us back at 5. Then Lola started attacking Rocky. It was terribly stressful and scary. I'm so sad but Lola went back to the Frenchie rescue. Rocky is my 1st baby and I can't risk him getting hurt. Plus, Molly could accidentally get in the middle. I feel terrible but I know it was the best decision. Sunshine on the other hand is a total doll. I've never had a calm dog before ;) She is a cuddle bug and very sweet. I think God brought her to me knowing I was about to lose my Baby Girl. Enough dog drama for now. 4 and holding.

I love the baby house for a million reasons......

fun art projects, great teachers, a home environment, low teacher/kid ratio, playground, Molly never cries when she goes in, they take care of the kids like they were their own, she learns Spanish and French, she sings and dances, they read stories, she learned 10 of her letters there, they taught her 4 letter sounds plus her colors, it's connected to my job, the other parents are sweet, they have a tiny real potty and will help with that, the house is really cool, the ladies taught Molly to love veggies and hot cheetos :)................

....Molly loves the baby house for other reasons. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!
