HE IS RISEN!

S.M. Lockridge Sermon

S.M. Lockridge was an African American, evangelical preacher. From what I have read he preached this sermon without any notes. There is a video of the sermon but I can't upload it. Awesome when you can hear the real thing! I wish I could make it the buzzer on my alarm clock. HE is RISEN INDEED!

The Bible says my KING is the king of the Jews

He is the KING of Israel

He's the KING of righteousness

He's the KING of the ages

He's the KING of heaven

He's the KING of glory

He's the KING of kings and he's the Lord of Lords

THAT'S MY KING!

I wonder do you know him?

My KING is a sovereign king

No means of measure can define his limitless love

He's enduringly strong

He's eternally steadfast

He's immortally graceful

He's imperially powerful

He's impartially merciful

Do you know him?

He's the greatest phenomenon that has ever crossed the horizon of this world

He's God's son

He's a sinner's savior

He's the centerpiece of civilization

He's unparalleled

He's unprecedented

He is the loftiest idea in literature

He's the highest personality in philosophy

He's the fundamental doctrine of true theology

He's the only one qualified to be an all sufficient savior

I wonder, do you know him?

He supplies strength for the week

He's available for the tempted and the tried

He sympathizes and sustains

He guards and he guides

He heals the sick

He cleansed the lepers

He forgive sinners

His discharges debtors

He delivers the captive

He defends the feeble

He blesses the young

He serves the unfortunate

He regards the aged

He rewards the diligent and he beautifies the meager

I wonder if you know him?

He's the key to knowledge

He's the wellspring of wisdom

He's the doorway of deliverance

He's the pathway of peace

He's the roadway of righteousness

He's the highway of holiness

He's the gateway of glory

Do you know him?

His life is matchless

His goodness is limitless

His mercy is everlasting

His love never changes

His word is enough

His grace is sufficient

His reign is righteous

And his yoke is easy and his burden is light

I wish I could describe him to you

He's indescribable

He's incomprehensible

He's invincible

He's irresistible

You can't get him out of your mind

You can't get him off of your hand

You can't out live him and you can't live without him

The Pharisees couldn't stand him but they found out the couldn't stop him

Pilot couldn't find any fault in him

Herod couldn't kill him

Death couldn't handle him and the grave couldn't hold him!

That's my KING!

Gotcha in Seoul!

Here are the pics from the day we "got" Timmy in Seoul. We went to pick him up at the SWS offices and these pics are from our room at the SWS guest house. He was happy the whole day until he had to go to bed. He cried for five hours straight that night. So much grief for a little guy. Ugggggh! He ended up watching Yo Gabba Gabba on the ipad for a few hours and then passing out.

Gotcha!

Airport photos from April 7th. These were taken on my cousin's iphone so they aren't top quality but I'm sure glad someone remembered to take some!

The Other Tim

It's the time of year when I can't get my Dad off my mind. At almost 5 years out I'm so thankful that I can just focus on him. It's not too often that I try to understand, fathom, explain, wonder, imagine etc....the way he died. I don't think of myself now as a survivor of suicide. I'm just someone who misses her Dad (a ton). That's so much easier. In thinking about orphans so much lately I realize I have so much to be thankful for. 1. I had a father. I actually had so much more than that. I had a father who cared about and loved me. Who made me pick weeds in high school to teach me a lesson. Now I LOVE to pick weeds, ask anyone who's been to my house! What is wrong with me? My Dad celebrated with me on my graduation days. He came to all my soccer games, paid for my college, fed and clothed me. When I was single and living alone he always reminded me that he wouldn't mind if I moved back in. Looking back now I know he would have loved that. He took me to Disney World, Colorado and Washington D.C. We even stood at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris on our last vacation together. How many daughters can say that? It's such a relief to be on this side of grief now. With a thankful heart....Amy

Shannon watched Tim Tim yesterday when I went back to work. Boy did they have some fun. Duck park, Timmy ate the bread too, ice in a Big Gulp cup, and even Mexican food!

Siblings

Radiant!

All my posts lately have been about Timmy's adoption. I thought tonight I'd write about my BIG girl. She's a special little lady, that's for sure! It's not because she's my daughter but it's because so many people have poured love into her life....she radiates happiness! You know who you are--The Molly Meeker Fan Club! I couldn't be more grateful to each one of you because without you she wouldn't be who she is today. Molly is full of life, loving, excited, an animal lover, spoiled (only with love not things), confident, caring, expressive, and AFFECTIONATE! She gives the biggest hugs and hangs on for awhile. You know, the kind of hug that's healing when you really need one. When she kisses you she grabs you by both cheeks first. Nothing better than that! Right now she is into puzzles (50 piece puzzles), princess dolls (the small ones with the annoying plastic clothes;), the dogs, reading books, and playing outside. When we were in Seoul I was missing her like crazy and since we've been back I can't seem to get enough of her. 5 days away was way too long!

Meghan helped Molly make the I Love Timmy shirt but it was all her idea! The Korean dress (Hanbok) was her present from the trip. Amazing, right? I think back to when I taught Learning the Language and the Korean dresses were always my favorite on international parade day.

HOME!

We met Timmy at his foster Mom's home on April 4th. We visited for about 2 hours. Timmy is very animated, funny, tiny (17 pounds), babied (by his foster mom), bright, engaged, well adjusted for what he has been through, curious, silly, smart, practically a genius like Molly ;), interested in his surroundings, all boy, likes anything that has a motor noise, and at the moment experiencing some major jet lag! Poor little guy! HAPPY to be home and I'll post more about the trip and Gotcha Day soon.
