Small but Mighty

Timmy had a fever yesterday. Bob took him to Acute Care in Plano. His oxygen saturation was low so they rushed him in an ambulance to Children's Plano. It was protocol for anyone with his stats. Timmy's oxygen saturation is lower than most children his age and size. This is due to his heart condition. So, after it was all said and done we left the hospital with the diagnosis of an ear infection. Poor little guy was traumatized for that! He was put on oxygen, had both ears irrigated and got a catheter for a urine test. :( Sad stuff. The nurses couldn't believe how strong he was for his size. GO BUDDY! It took 4 of us to hold him down for the procedures. Agghhhh! Tomorrow we will get a note from the cardiologist stating what his normal is so that this will be avoided in the future.

On an up note....while we were there he was crying Uma (which is Mom in Korean). I felt so sad for him because he wanted his foster mom. Bob said, Amy he is talking about YOU. I didn't buy it at first. Then on the way home he said Uma to me about 100 times. Every time he said it I would answer yes and he would laugh. We stopped at 7-11 too and bought him some oreos, his favorite. He kept saying yummmmm! When we turned in the drive way at home he starting laughing and clapping. He was so happy to be home. Little by little he is learning to trust us and make sense of his world. I LOVE HIM!!!!
