Beijing!

After being in Guangzhou for 12 days we finally arrived in Beijing to visit our bestie J.  We had the most fun playing with her kids, relaxing, eating yummy foods, and visiting the GREAT WALL!  The Great Wall is another place that pictures don't do justice. So glad we didn't miss seeing it while we were in China.  More China pics to come from my iphone :) soon.

Taking a Walk

On one of our last days in Guangzhou Mom told me to get out and walk around with my camera.  I crossed over the highway and went to the market place.  It was truly a mix of modern and traditional Chinese goods.    I even found a McDonald's and ate a yummy McFlurry ;)

Guangzhou Zoo

So.....we had hoped to go to this amazing Safari Park while in Guangzhou.  I asked the Bell Boy to get us a taxi.  He said, safari is a new word for me.  Ok....I said, yes safari park, like zoo.  He said, oh safari, yes I understand.  We got into the taxi and he told the taxi driver where to drop us off.  15 minutes later we were standing in front of the Guangzhou Zoo, not the Safari Park.  I stressed for a minute and then thought....all Big Sis M cares about are pandas and white tigers.  This place look like it will have both and it did.  So much for my English/Chinese translation :)

PS-Many random people wanted to have their picture taken with Big Sis M because of her blond hair so I pretty much went with it.  I included a photo with her random Chinese friend.

Shamain Island

We stayed on Shamain Island in Guangzhou.   There are beautiful gardens and buildings.  The traffic is minimal and I had a real since of peace while staying there.  We bought lots of outdoor toys to play with and we took walks each day.  There were some fun outdoor cafes, a Subway, and even a Starbucks.  There are people exercising and playing games throughout the day.  (Again I didn't carry my camera around much---so annoyed at myself!  But I borrowed some pics from a friend's blog. Hope she doesn't mind :)

Guangzhou City Center

Our amazing guide, Cordelia took us to the center of Guangzhou on one of our free days.  Pictures never seem to capture the beauty or size of places like this.  Cordelia's daughter Ton Ton (pronounced tone tone) joined us for this outing.  The language barrier between Big Sis M and Ton Ton did not deter the fun and friendship.

Noveember 8

It was hard for me to post these pictures.  It's just too sad to think that Little S is 3 and can't hold her head up.  Last year she could but the milestones she reached have some how disappeared.  Big Sis M did her best to hold her.  So proud of M for making the trip and being a loving sister.

Day 2 with Little S and Big Sis M

November 6

Pictures from the Victory Hotel.  The day after Gotcha Day.  We were all tired but had to make it to an appoinment at the CAB office for visa pictures and notary appoinments.  It was tough with two toddlers so the camera didn't make it.
